After joint deliberation by the Ophthalmology Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, the Ocular Surface and Tear Film Diseases Group of the Ophthalmology Committee of the Cross-Strait Medical and Health Exchange Association, the China Branch of the Asian Dry Eye Society, and the Eye Care Traditional Chinese Medicine Technology Committee of the China Association of Chinese Medicine, it has been decided that: "The 12th National Dry Eye Academic Conference, the 10th National Ocular Surface and Tear Film Diseases Academic Conference, the 10th National Traditional Chinese Medicine Eye Care Academic Conference, and the 5th Ophthalmic Drug Innovation Forum" will be held in Shanghai from October 23 to 25, 2026. Since its inception in 2015, the "National Dry Eye Academic Conference" has spanned eleven years. This year marks its first time in the vibrant metropolis of Shanghai, heralding a new chapter. Past conferences have fostered a rich academic atmosphere. Last year’s 11th Dry Eye Congress alone attracted over 1,000 participants and featured 237 speakers from Mainland China, overseas, Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan regions, with more than 100 special guests. This fully demonstrates the conference’s strong cohesion and leadership in the ophthalmology community. Building on a foundation of rigorous and truth-seeking professionalism, this year's conference will provide a panoramic review of groundbreaking achievements in basic research, clinical translation, and drug innovation in recent years. Chinese Dry Eye Congress (CDEC) is the largest and most influential academic conference in the field of ocular surface and tear film diseases in China.
